The ballet THE FEAST OF LOVE is inspired by the novel CAPSELLA BURSA PASTORIS by Teodora Sujic which, after long choreographic research, emerged as an inevitable and eternal love poem. Spring, love, two young people, the topic is of infinite possibilities.
It is in the nature of every human being to love, suffer and seek his or her own way. When the past is not forgotten, when the past becomes a memory, whatever happened gets its full value. Anger becomes forgiveness, suffering becomes quiet longing, fondness becomes gratitude, and love becomes friendship.
The production of this ballet is fully financed by the City of Belgrade and this is the first time that the City of Belgrade finances production of a performance on the stage of Madlenianum.
Aleksandar Ilic choreographer, made his debut at The Festival of Choreographic Miniatures in 1999 in Belgrade. He set premiére ballets Viva la Vida at the National Theatre in Belgrade and also Lisbon Story as well as Loved - a special performance for pets. He is the author of the book Holiday of the Heart.
Dear Aleksandar,
ОдговориИзбришиI'm Sara Grenga, a contemporary italian dancer.
I discovered your choreographic work on YouTube and really loved it.
I discovered it today by chance. As I choreographed a solo inspired to Frida Kahlo, I was searching on the web for opportunities to dance it and discovered your "Viva La Vida" which I really loved.
I was very moved by your choreography and your dancers. Really beautiful. Believe me, I don't often find choreography which really move me. that's why I'm writing you. Your piece is so rich and I felt you really touched Frida personality and soul with your work.
Where are you living and working?
I don't know if I could ever be one of your dancers because I really don't know if I have such a high technic work. But I'd like to know something more about you and your company. Do you have a website?
If you're interested, this is the solo I danced and choreographed for Frida.

I hope there'll be a sequel...
Again: COMPLIMENTI FOR YOUR WORK!
